چکیده

The investigation of gases, aerosols, and radiation regime of the atmosphere with regard for their interrelations for typical regions of the earth is one of the most important radiationclimatic problems. Among the typical regions, the zone of boreal forests of moderate latitudes should be separated, which covers the considerable territory of the Eurasian and American continents (including the West Siberia). The following geophysical factors are characteristic of these regions:

Photon Dosimetry Quality Audit of Radiotherapy Centers in Iran: SSDL's On-Site Visit Program During 2007-2017

Introduction: A dosimetric audit is a quality assurance process (QA) that allows the accuracy of dosimetric and geometric precision to accurately control the delivery of doses. They can be used to evaluate the accuracy of radiation delivery at different radiotherapy centers. Differences in prescriptive doses, depending on the severity of the differences, have potential conseque...

Some Results of an Experimental Study of the Atmospheric Aerosol in Tomsk: A Combined Approach

As widely accepted, the atmospheric aerosol strongly contributes to the formation of the earth’s radiation balance through the absorption and scattering of solar radiation. In addition to this direct influence on the radiation balance, aerosols, being active condensation nuclei, also have a role in the cloud formation processes. Consequently, we pay special attention to the block of aerosol stu...

Optical Model of Atmospheric Aerosols in Russian Siberia for Correction of Satellite Data

Atmospheric components (aerosols and molecules) scatter and absorb solar radiation. They significantly influence the contrast and apparent resolution of satellite images of the Earth’s surface taken in the visible and near infrared spectral channels. For accurate interpretation of satellite signals, remote sensing data have to be corrected for atmospheric effects. This requires knowledge of atm...

Comparative Measurements of Radon Concentration in Soil Using Passive and Active Methods in High Level Natural Radiation Area (HLNRA) of Ramsar

Background: Radon and its daughters are amongst the most important sources of natural exposure in the world. Soil is one of the significant sources of radon/thoron due to both radium and thorium so that the emanated thoron from it may cause increased uncertainties in radon measurements. Recently, a diffusion chamber has been designed and optimized for passive discriminative measurements of rado...
